“Set your goals, never give up, 20 minutes a day goes a long way, and stay the course. The end is so much sweeter.” – Tim Kennemore.

From Hot Wheels to Honda Dreams

For 42-year-old Tim Kennemore of Corsicana, TX, cars have always been a way of life. By day, he’s the general manager at Casita Travel Trailers. By night—and most weekends—you’ll find him in his shop, wrenching on his own builds or helping others chase their vision.

His passion started the same way it did for many: with Hot Wheels, Micro Machines, Legos, and Erector Sets. But the actual hook came with his first Honda CRX. “I blew the head gasket and realized I could fix it myself. From then on, I was glued. The people, the friendships, and the places this scene has taken me have been amazing.”

Tim lives by his mantra: set your goals, and at least 20 minutes a day goes a long way.

Why the Integra?

The Integra platform has always been Tim’s favorite, though the journey hasn’t been without setbacks.

“The first one I destroyed was being young and dumb, street racing on the highway,” he laughs. His next two Integras were built for show, but both ended prematurely after accidents—one from a driver running a stop sign, the other from someone pulling out in front of him.

“That was the curse of the yellow cars,” Tim jokes. However, two days after the last crash, he bought the 1995 Integra, which he still owns today. Since then, it’s been nothing short of a transformation—transition after transition, blessing after blessing.

Behind the Wheel

Tim describes the Integra as a vibe all its own. With its details and wild paint, it turns heads everywhere it goes.

“Driving it is an experience—you won’t make a block without broken necks,” he says. “The reactions when people realize it’s right-hand drive are priceless. The feeling of riding in something you built yourself is unmatched.”

When parked and laid out, Tim says, it’s “car porn at its finest.” At shows, the Integra earns respect not just for its style, but also for the effort and vision that have been poured into it.

Passion, Recognition, or Both?

What began as weekend meets and casual gatherings evolved into a build that strikes a balance between passion and recognition. Competing at shows, winning awards, and showcasing his craftsmanship have become integral to his journey. “It’s about experiencing the car scene with others and building events for the next generation. Passion first—but recognition pushes you to raise your standards.”

The SEMA Journey

Tim’s Integra has earned its place at SEMA five times—a journey that began unexpectedly.

“Five years ago, I was at work when Terry Payne called me. He had a vendor spot open and said if anyone deserved it, it was me. Thanks to him, my car made its first SEMA appearance.”

Since then, Tim has been featured through 742 Marketing, as well as sponsors and vendors who saw the potential in his build to draw attention. The sacrifices—late nights, lost weekends, and endless trial and error—paid off the moment his Integra sat under the bright lights of Las Vegas.

“Walking into SEMA the first time, seeing my work on display with the big names—it was surreal. I knew then all the hard work was worth it.”

Community & Culture

Tim has been a proud member of STATUS Car Club for 10 years—a group he describes as “more than a culture, it’s a family.”

The car scene, for him, has always been about connection. “We could sit all day talking about the friendships, opportunities, and places I’ve been. Stay humble, inspire others, challenge yourself, and have fun. We only get one chance at this—how you carry yourself sets the tone for those who come next.”

Advice to Builders

  • Never give up.
  • Set your goals and stay the course.
  • Twenty minutes a day goes a long way.
  • Don’t cut corners. Buy quality the first time—it costs more to redo it later.
  • Take your time. Pencil and paper planning saves headaches.

And for those working on Integras? Tim says: “DM me anytime. I’ve made the mistakes—let me help you avoid them.”

And when asked about his dream car? The answer is immediate: Acura NSX.

🔥 From CRX beginnings to SEMA spotlights, Tim Kennemore proves that passion, persistence, and patience build more than cars—they build legacies.
